Ukrainian Independence Day Picnic – Пікнік до Дня Незалежності України 🇺🇦
The Fort McMurray Ukrainian Cultural Society invites you to join us in celebrating Ukraine’s 33rd anniversary of independence! The Ukrainian Independence Day Picnic will be held on August 25, 2024, from 11 am – 2 pm at Syncrude Athletic Park.
The picnic is a potluck – please bring food to share as well as your own chair or picnic blanket to sit on. Gluten-free items would be appreciated – please label as gluten-free.
IMPORTANT: NO fish/shellfish/seafood due to life-threatening airborne allergies.
Hamburgers will be served, courtesy of Fort McMurray Knights of Columbus! We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support of our community!
The picnic will include a program celebrating Ukrainian culture and independence, including dance performances by Avrora Ukrainian Dance Club and performances by the students of Ivan Franko Ukrainian Heritage School!
This event is open to all – this is a wonderful opportunity to share our rich Ukrainian culture with the wider Wood Buffalo community! Bring a friend or neighbour to join in the celebration! Слава Україні! 🇺🇦
