Volunteer Deposit Cheque
The Ukrainian Cultural Society is a volunteer run group, committed to helping our children receive excellent dance instruction and opportunities. Through our Society we proudly share the Ukrainian culture with our children and the community. We are non-profit and could not survive without all our wonderful parent volunteers. Each family is required to volunteer at at a casino, and in some capacity fulfilling the functions of the society) (eg. coordinating the Spring Concert, fundraising, advertising, treasurer, etc.) On a year when we are committed to a Casino, there will be a Levy cheque of $500.00 until the commitment has been fulfilled. There is also a Levy cheque of $200.00 until other volunteer commitments have been fulfilled.
Costume Deposit Cheque
The Ukrainian Cultural Society purchases costumes which the dancers may use. Cheques will be collected as a costume deposit and will be returned at the end of the year if costumes are returned undamaged and complete. If parts are missing, the amount of deposit to be forfeited will be the amount needed to cover the cost of replacing the whole costume.
A deposit check of $200 is required per costume borrowed.
Financial Assistance
The Fort McMurray Avrora Ukrainian Dancers believe every kid should have an opportunity to dance. For families that may need financial assistance, applications are available through Kid Sport Wood Buffalo and WB Kids.
